Handmade RWS watercolour paper, with four true deckle edges and watermarked with ‘RWS hand-made’.
Widely regarded as among the best artists papers ever produced, RWS handmade watercolour papers were made at Hayle Mill from 1895 until its closure in 1987. They were originally created in response to the declining quality of artist’s papers available at the end of the 19th century, and made to meet the exacting standards of the members of the Royal Watercolour Society.
